DESPACHO DE LUZ

Despacho de Luz is an Andean ritual that supports the passage of children into the world of light.

When a pregnancy ends—whatever the circumstances—the child has occupied a place within the womb, the body, and the life of the mother. Even when that life was held only briefly, an imprint may remain.

This sacred gathering offers a space to honor the children and seeds of life that have passed through the womb but may not yet have been acknowledged through prayer, ritual, or remembrance.

Together, we will prepare for and deepen our understanding of the Despacho de Luz: its purpose, its sacred elements, and the ways it can support healing after miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth, or any experience in which a child was unable to remain in the physical world.
